We have the right experience. Has your voicemail been clogged with messages from recruiters that have no experience in the software industry?  How can they begin to understand your needs, environment, and technologies. At StellarLogic, we have years of experience in high-tech companies from startups to Fortune 50 as software engineers and managers. We can understand (and even help you define) the right kinds of software resources (direct-hire or contractors) for your project with the appropriate backgrounds and skills.

We don’t do the hard-sell.  Let’s face it, when you say NO – we respect your decision. The hard-sell effectiveness went out with junk bonds and hula hoops. You hate the hard sell, and frankly, we hate it too. We will treat you with respect.

We strive to understand your technology better than other staffing agencies. OK, we don’t know everything in technology (after all - it is a big industry), but we have the experience to know the difference between Java and JavaScript, ASP and ASP.NET, SOAP and shampoo, or SQL and sequel (as in Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back). We also understand software development life-cycle processes, quality assurance and testing (QA), project management, and configuration management. We can discuss technology and resource requirements intelligently.

We like to listen. Many recruiters rattle things off like auctioneers and don’t take a breath for what seems like hours. We realize you’re busy and your time is very valuable. We care about your requirements and will listen to your needs.

We know how to screen candidates. Have you received resumes with every technology and buzzword listed including a college graduation date of last year? Or how about grammar so poor you could barely read them? With our background in the software industry, we will make sure the candidate actually has experience in the areas listed on his or her resume. We also know that personality and ability to fit in with your team is as important as the skill-set and background. So we perform behavioral interviewing as well – before you get their resume. Finally, we can supply sample interview questions to get you started for your interview of the candidate – to save you time and energy.
