StellarLogic is an Arizona Limited Liability Company (LLC). Originally established in 1998 as an Oregon corporation, the business operated as a software consulting business for 10 years. StellarLogic is now transpiring into much more. Recognizing the need for quality software resources and management, StellarLogic has realigned itself to be your business partner.
Steve Laats, founder of StellarLogic, has a 28-year career in the software industry including several years in medical and clinical environments.
Previous positions include Director of Software Quality Assurance for a heart monitor and vital signs medical device manufacturer, Senior Quality Assurance Consultant for a patient medical records company, and Clinical Researcher for Oregon Health Sciences University – Department of Pediatric Cardiology.
Steve’s entrepreneurial experiences include founding of three previous successful software companies: Revision Labs – a leading software testing vendor to Microsoft, HP, Intel, Spacelabs Medical, Leardahl Medical, and others; Xzact Solutions – a consulting firm that developed a networked patient monitoring system for Massachusetts General Hospital; and Advanced Software Technologies – a consulting firm that built a computerized ventilator analysis system for a college Respiratory Technology department.
Steve has dual university BS degrees in Computer Science and Biology (Zoology) from Portland State University (Portland, Oregon) and Idaho State University (Pocatello, ID) respectively.
